I spent the day traveling yesterday and finally arrived in Jacksonville!
Que experiência impressionante. Antes de ir eu pensava que um 'hospice' seria um lugar soturno, mas por sorte eu estava COMPLETAMENTE enganada!
What an astonishing experience. Before going, I thought the hospice would be a gloomy environment, but fortunately, I was COMPLETELY wrong.
Após passar uma semana por lá eu percebi que o que mais me impressionou foram as crianças. Ainda que elas lutem dia após dia e sabem o que está por vir para elas, eles não reclamam. O que eles fazem, em vez de reclamar, é aproveitar cada detalhe do dia delas ao máximo e são gratas simplesmente por terem tido mais um dia. Talvez isto seja o que devemos aprender com elas, certo?
After spending a week there, I realized that what amazed me the most were the kids. Even though they struggle day after day and know what is to come for them, they do not complain. What they do, instead, is enjoy every detail of their day to the fullest and are grateful for making it through another day. Maybe that is something we can learn from them, right?
